The Lautoka City Council is proud to announce the official opening of the Botanical Garden Coffee Hub, marking yet another significant milestone in enhancing public spaces and community experiences within our city.
This exciting initiative reflects Council’s continued commitment to creating welcoming, vibrant, and convenient spaces for residents and visitors alike. The Coffee Hub offers a relaxing environment within the beautiful surroundings of the Botanical Garden — a place where families, friends, and visitors can unwind and enjoy quality refreshments.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the Council’s Depot team, Management, and staff, whose collective efforts have brought this vision to life successfully.
Hon. Maciu Katamotu Nalumisa, Minister for Housing & Local Government, in his official remarks, highlighted that the Coffee Hub represents a valuable small enterprise initiative. He emphasized its importance as a convenient and accessible facility for the public, while also contributing to local economic activity and enhancing the overall appeal of the Botanical Garden.
The presence of the Tui Vitogo was also acknowledged as part of this important occasion.
The Acting CEO of Lautoka City Council also acknowledged the teamwork and commitment demonstrated throughout the project. He reaffirmed Council’s ongoing mission to invest in developments that improve community wellbeing, support local opportunities, and maintain Lautoka as a clean, green, and progressive city.
The Lautoka City Council extends its sincere appreciation to everyone involved in making this project a success and looks forward to the community’s continued support in utilizing and preserving this new facility.
