Engineering
The Engineering Department ensures that the developments in the City are in compliance with the Council’s development plans, Town Planning Regulations, subdivisions of land bylaws under the Local Government Act Cap 125.
Planning and Development
The Head of Planning and Development Services oversees the operations of Planning and Development Departments of the council to achieve the Departments Vision, Mission and Values as follows: –

To continue promoting compliance, enforcement and stringent control of council’s regulatory requirements for development.
MISSION
To provide efficient and effective services to the ratepayers for well planned, structurally safe and sustainable development.
VALUES
- To achieve developments in adherence with the Approved Town Planning Scheme for the City of Lautoka and the building regulation.
