Department of Lands Presents State Land Use Master Plan for Greater West and Coastal Region to Lautoka City Council

Yesterday, the Land Use Planning Development Unit from the Department of Lands held a presentation at the Lautoka City Council (LCC) chamber. The presentation focused on the State Land Use Master Plan for Greater West and Coastal Region.

The purpose of the presentation was to engage in a forum for discussion with the LCC Planning and Development team about the draft plan for review and comments. This feedback will be used to finalize the Master Plan for approval with the Department of Town & Country Planning.

The Department of Lands team is currently in the West, meeting with relevant stakeholders, including all municipalities in the western division, and delivering face-to-face presentations. This effort is a crucial step towards achieving effective land use planning and development in the region.
